Freedom with your Name on it

Hello Beautiful People,

This scripture Psalm 18, is my testimony. I know God to be my strength, my rock, fortress, refuge, my deliverer, and my shield. Three years ago, when the devil had me, I was bound, chained by my sins, lost, confused, misused, and abused. One day I was just tired, crying in my closet. I was tired of the hurt, drama, hate, and anger that surrounded me. That eventually became a part of me; at times, I was only existing but not living. Addiction had me right where the enemy wanted me; when I should have been the most joyful, instead I was drowning in depression. I didn’t know then that the battle I was facing had already been won. Until I cried out for Jesus and He came, found me, and saved me. When I called on His name, healing was introduced, deliverance sought me, and His unfailing love surrounded me. In Jesus, every wound I tried to fill with temporary band-aids, He came and cleaned them properly with His word. God, our Father, was revealing to me just how much He loves me, that He will fight for me. In those moments, I started to see God as Aba.

“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From

His temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook;

They trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming

Fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it. He parted the heavens and came down;

Dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared

On the wings of the wind. He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him-

the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds

Advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning. The Lord thundered from heaven;

The voice of the Most High resounded. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies,

Great bolts of lightning and routed them. The valley of the sea were exposed and the

Foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of the deep waters.

He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support.” Psalm 18:6-18 NIV

 I meditated on this scripture, which became personal for me after that day because that is exactly what the Lord did for me. This brought life to my situation, and the Holy Spirit allowed me to see God as my Father and to know He will save His child. God knows our cries; He knows our voices, and He comes when we call. God has saved me from the bondage and revealed that freedom had my name on it, all the Lord is waiting for us to do is claim our inheritance. In Jesus Christ, there is freedom; let Him into your heart, mind, spirit, and soul. We don’t have to be bound by the enemy or our sins. The Lord will fight for you; He is looking for an open heart that is willing to receive Him. Welcome Jesus Christ into your life; it will be the best decision you ever make. I invite you to take a moment to be still and meditate on Psalm 18, allowing God’s truth to search your heart. I pray that this scripture will reveal to you who God is; your rock, your refuge, your strength, your deliverer, and Aba(Father). As you open your heart to Jesus Christ, watch as He breaks the chains one by one and leads you into freedom.
